Camp 9 ¾ Programming

The programming schedule will offer a variety of formal and informal sessions. Formal programming is everything academic, including formal lectures and paper readings, panel discussions and debates, interactive workshops, roundtable discussions and explorations of craft- that will give campers the chance to expand their knowledge and understanding of the Harry Potter series. Formal programming is more structured, and will take place from morning until mid afternoon each day of the camp. Formal programming is a great way to approach a topic in Harry Potter or fandom with an engaged audience.

Examples of Formal Programming: Fan fic writing and editing workshop A panel on incorporating Harry Potter in the classroom Paper presentation about Purebloods and their impact on the wizarding world Knit your own scarf workshop Roundtable discussion on starting a Harry Potter club Informal programming is less formal and less structured than formal programming! Wizard wrock, crafting, fanfic readings, cosplay, fans of particular ship/slash pairings, Â meet-ups, photoshoots, pool parties and more.

Informal programming can take place all hours of the day and night, particularly during the evenings If you'd like to host a less structured or more leisure craft workshop, fanfic/fanart event, or even play an acoustic set, then Informal Programming is for you.

Examples of Informal Programming: Snarry or Dramione fans House get together in the Common Room Fan produced exhibition (live show, play, musical ect.)
